I wouldn't say that I loved this recipe. It was good, but that's about it. I can't blame it on the plums -- they tasted good. I tried hard to love it, in fact, I had big plans for the plum cake to make some rounds during the holidays. No such luck. If anyone asks me to make a dessert with plums, I got one. I'll let you know if anyone request such a recipe.
Now, back on a high note. I love next week's recipe...creme brulee. Yum. I know all the restaurants with the best creme brulee in town. Boy, wouldn't it be nice if I could make it at home and save some money. I have the dishes, a blow torch and lots of spoons.
Thanks to Michelle at Bake-En and go find out what everyone else thought of this recipe at the TWD Blogroll.

yummy brooke these look delicious! plums in something baked is always good!
yeah, us too: it was ok, but not much more. there are too many great recipes to try, to come back to this one. but next week, yum....
This was a hit in our house, sorry you didn't love it. I can't wait for the creme brulee one of my all time favorite desserts!
I love the photo. As less of a fan of creme brulee, I liked this - a bit less decadent, ya know?
Yeah, not one of our favorites either. But some ideas from others may make it bakeable again. But yours looks good.
Sorry it wasn't your fave. We ended up loving it. And I'll probably sub for the creme brulee (luckily Laurie just posted to the TWD blog to allow that) b/c of no blow torch. It does sound good. Just save a spoon, I may try yours!

Looks great Brooke! I'd love a nice piece right now!
I really love the colors of this dish... especially the plum itself. It's almost like you've captured a slice of a sunset baked in! :)
We weren't big fans of this one either. I'd love to hear about your plum recipe -- I love plums, fresh or baked!
